I have known Jamie’s mama for years and got to learn more about sweet Jamie while taking photos for a boutique. When I finally met Jamie for the first time she was the most precious soul and I instantly loved her! So when she and Kel got engaged and she asked me to be her photographer, I jumped up and down!

Jamie and Kel have been together for 8 years and met during high school. A mutual friend tries to set them up, and after weeks of texting back and forth they finally ended up meeting at a bonfire, talked all night long, and quickly turned into best friends.

While vacationing at one of their favorite beaches (Ocean Isle), Kel wanted to take their golden retriever, Banjo, on a walk on the beach. Kel was walking him the whole time. After a while he asked Jamie to hold the leash for a minute and when she grabbed the leash she felt a new tag on it! She looked down to fine a pink dog tag that said “Will you marry me?” and looked back at Kel with tears in her eyes where she found him on one knee! It meant so much to her that he incorporated their fur baby, Banjo!

Jamie’s ring is a beautiful pear shape! It has one large diamond in the middle that is surrounded by smaller diamonds. She had always told Kel that she wanted something unique and it had to be pear. He completely picked out the ring on his own and did an absolutely perfect job.

The wedding was a boho theme with earthy and unique touches. Jamie is a hippie at heart and wanted all the macrame and pompous grass. It was perfect. Her mama, Sheila, opened her own floral design business and designed all the florals! Jamie’s bouquet featured ivory and greenery with a pop of dusty pink. These colors were also used in the bridesmaids dresses! They were mismatched styles with an array of pastels. Her MOH’s wore floral patterned dresses which could not have looked more perfect alongside the solid colors. The colors also bounced wonderfully off of the guys’ tuxes which were beige. They had the most adorable koozies for their guests that featured none other than their adorable fur baby, Banjo! Jamie is a teacher and she incorporated little picture frames with crayon drawings her students made for them expressing what love means to them. The responses were beyond precious.

Jamie says her favorite part of their wedding day was the “first look.” “It was so bittersweet, and seeing his face when he saw me was priceless. I also loved reading our love notes that we had wrote for each other, and really soaking in that alone time together before we were surrounded by all the people we love most, and I truly felt Jesus in our presence. Such a magical day.”
